User interface (UI) design is the process of making interfaces alongside designs that are simple and enjoyable to use. The user interface is the layout of a product, and it’s up to the UI designer to design all the interactive elements.
UX and UI design are always getting confused. Think of UX design as influencing the whole spectrum of the user experience, while UI design is inherently the overall feel of a design.
It’s a UI Designers job to create the look and feel of a products user interface, as well as the screen layout, transitions, animations, and micro-interactions. Layouts consist of buttons, text, images, sliders, input fields and other interactive elements. Simply put, UI design takes care of all visual elements, interactions and animations of the interface.
If you're interested in discussing an upcoming project, or simply have some questions about UI design, I would love to talk to you. I’ll pop the kettle on. You can bring the cake. Drop me a quick message, and I'll get back to you.
